After playing professional cricket for 13 years, I became a qualified builder and recognised there was a gap in the market for a safe, effective methamphetamine decontamination system.

Remediation was labour intensive and many houses had to be relined.   I believed there had to be a more efficient solution.

I could see similarities in the usage rates of methamphetamine in the US to New Zealand.  My research took me to Utah, USA to gain more knowledge and understanding of the epidemic and how to decontaminate properties using a proven product and best practice cleaning methods. 

Apple Environmental Meth Remover was my chosen product after much research to bring to the New Zealand market.

Zsolt Baumann

Born and raised in Hungary I have been a professional commercial cleaner for an established business in Hungary.  I have worked within the cleaning industry for 10 years and have a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and Project Management.

I moved to New Zealand in 2016.  In 2017 I became involved in drug decontamination.  Applying my knowledge of the cleaning business and meth decontamination training,  I have developed an excellent understanding of the process required to successfully decontaminate a meth contaminated  property.

Culum Retallick

I grew up in North Canterbury, Christchurch and I was educated at Shirley Boys High School. After leaving school I had a professional rugby career till I was 33.

After finishing my rugby career, I joined the EDS franchise and the decontaminating industry.  As a business owner/operator I can be efficient and effective in my work but also have the flexibility to spend time with my family.

My professional sports career of 10 years, taught me decision-making skills under pressure, and that following a proven process was key to successful results.   I apply these same principles in the decontamination industry.  Following the correct process achieves results that make my customer's houses safe and healthy again.

Hill Laboratories and E.S.R. have tested and confirmed Apple Environmental Meth Remover and our cleaning methodology comply with the NZ Standard for Testing and Decontamination of Methamphetamine-contaminated Properties (NZS8510:2017).

Our Director, Shanan traveled to the USA and undertook significant product-specific training at the Apple Environmental facilities located in Utah. Whilst there Shanan undertook technical training on the effects of methamphetamine use, focusing on the ongoing issues that it creates within our homes and communities and the process to ensure the effective removal of this poison from homes.

The Eco Decontamination Systems team are highly qualified, friendly, professionals, who are dedicated to ensuring the stresses of methamphetamine decontamination are taken care of in the safest way possible. 

Combining all of this expert knowledge Eco Decontamination Systems (EDS) was formed.
